Double The Fun |
I'm a fan of Iron Man and I just bought a book 'The Art of Iron Man', so I decided to work on this Mark 17 - Heartbreaker.
The other character was my 1st time studying of hard surface modeling from july 2012 called War Maiden, I’ve spent about more than 3 months for making that one (i'm not sure, maybe more)
the idea was from War Machine in Iron Man II.
I decided to put her into the scene, side by side with the Heartbreaker, so that I can see the different between my old and new character.
Project 17 |
Refference taken from the book 'The Art of Iron man- Hearbreaker ' and some hot toys image from google (because the concept from the book is not enough for me.)
I was too scared to think about the legs.. but really, sculpting in Blender helps me to define the shape of the model and then I retopo them using BSurfaces addon.
I did some blocking for the rest of the body just to get a good silhouette.
When everything modelled, time to rig! But wait, this is a mechanical model which means you need to understand the mechanical movement for each parts. I was very-very lazy to think about that, so I decided to use meshdeform, he will only do pose right? Yep!
